Common questions

Is what I type uploaded?

No. Codes are made on your PC, offline. See the privacy policy.

Do the codes expire?

No. The app makes standard, static codes: the content is inside the code itself, so it keeps working as long as the link or details in it are still valid.

Is there a watermark or a limit?

No. Everything is free, with no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make.

PNG or SVG?

PNG is an image that works almost everywhere. SVG stays sharp at any size, which is best for print and design tools.

My phone does not read the code

Keep strong contrast (dark code on a light background), leave a quiet margin around the code, and do not print it too small. For long content, a higher error correction level and a larger size help.

Which barcode should I use?

EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products (with numbers assigned to you), Code 128 for shipping and inventory labels, and Code 39 where older scanners need it.
